Sanzensekai - The Nodaichi Sanka Seido

Help me bring the Nodaichi currency set to life! The goal is to create a Nodaichi Kamon (crest) bag with a total of twelve coins: Ryo, Bu, and Mon. I have the designs; I just need the press!

What's a Ryo?

A Ryo (Koban) is a golden, oval-shaped piece of currency, often minted with horizontal gozame lines, from historical eras of Japan, most notably the Edo era. It's the coin on the Pokémon Meowth's head. In the Edo era, a single Ryo represented one koku, the amount of rice one adult ate in a year. So of course, these weren't the most common currency.

Ichibugin, or Bu, along with Ichibukin, were valued at one quarter of a Ryo, thus the term Bu. These were either silver or gold in color, rectangles with rounded corners and raised edges. This was a pivotal piece of currency used in trade, but it still wasn't the smallest, or most common.

The Mon, often called Zeni (wink), were small copper "pennies" with a square cutout. As the most common coin used for everyday affairs, they were strung on strings to make carrying them easier.

Monthly rent in Edo for a studio equivalent was about 500-600 Mon. While a skilled tradesman would make just under that at 400-500 Mon a day, an unskilled day laborer made roughly 150-200 Mon a day. By the way, a bowl of fast-food ni-hachi soba was 16 Mon. You should Google why it's called that.

So, if the Ryo is the big one, how do they all stack up?
